Ingredients for Muffins :

  • Non-stick cooking spray
  • 3 bananas, mashed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped + extra to top muffins before baking, if desired

What Nut Should I Use :

In this banana nut muffins recipe, only the walnut is used. But you can try different nut or you can try with some mixed nuts. It is up to you. You can do your experiments. And if you did the experiments, share it with us in the comment section.

How to Make Banana Nut Muffins :

Step One:

Preheat oven to 350°F/177°C Spray a standard muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray and set aside. Add the mashed bananas, melted butter, and milk to a large mixing bowl. Mix to combine.

Step Two:

Beat in the egg and vanilla, and brown & white sugar.

Step Three:

Add in the remaining dry ingredients(all-purpose flour,baking soda and salt) and fold in until just mixed. Then, fold in the walnuts.

Step Four:

Fill muffin pan cups to about 4/5 full. Top with additional walnuts, if desired.

Step Five:

Place in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean.

Serving Suggestions :

You can bake 12 muffins perfectly. You can serve these amazing banana nut muffins with a hot coffee or tea as a light breakfast or you can serve these muffins as a dessert after lunch. You can try all of the combinations.

How Long Can I Store Banana Nut Muffins?

Everything is perfect in fresh. But you can keep these banana nut muffins for up to 2 days at room temperature or in the refrigerator for some more days. But I don’t think you can store these amazing banana nut muffins for that long. If you refrigerated them, you can microwave muffins before serve as they are best served warm.
